May Fair Day and the Carnival with the Cavaliers!

It was a busy day as usual but we had a very enjoyable time. We arrived in the square at 07:00 to get everything ready for the day's proceedings and then retired to the Black Horse for breakfast.

The "dancing" Cavaliers met in the Globe Hotel to change into thier fireman costumes, kindly made by Toni Alexander;

1646 Battle of Torrington commemorative march success

HISTORY was brought to life for the annual 1646 Battle of Torrington commemorative march on Saturday.

Guess the number of chillies Competition

Dick Matthews has grown a chilli tree and it is blooming with small red chillies. If you fancy having a go at guessing the number of chillies on the tree visit the Torrington Arms and add your name, pay your £1 and put down your guess on the list and you could win 50% of the funds raised. The other 50% will go to the Trumpton Bonfire fund.
