Tony Benn Visits HMS Victory

Tony Benn visits the Bonfire site

Tony Benn was visiting Torrington today, Sunday 22nd August, to do an "Audience with Tony Benn" at the Plough Arts Centre. Money raised from the event will be split (not equally) between the Appledore Shipyard Workers fund, The Plough and us, The Cavaliers.

Before the audience, Mr Benn visited the bonfire site to see the progress of our major event. Tony was extremely impressed and will make every effort to attend next year.
