Coronavirus and our 2020 Events
As we are all aware the coronavirus is causing much concern and disruption throughout the world and we have to consider the health of those that attend our events and those that could be affected by the contact made with attendees during and after the events.
We have the Bohemians (Queen Tribute) in the Garden Room at RHS Rosemoor, Great Torrington on Saturday 16th May 2020 and our Mayflower Bonfire commemorating the 400th anniversary of the sailing of the Mayflower to the New World on Saturday 29th August 2020.
Tickets are still on sale for both events and we will continue with the planning of the events as if the virus didn’t exist, however should we assess the risks are high or the Government recommend that they do not go ahead, we will meet and arrange a postponement of each event. All tickets already sold will be valid for the new dates and tickets will continue to be on sale for the new dates.
We will not cancel these events but postpone them if advised to do so.
Unfortunately, we have been advised by RHS Rosemoor that all events have been cancelled for the foreseeable future, this includes our Bohemians event on the 16th May 2020, because of the Coronavirus and the associated concerns for public safety. We fully agree with their decision and hope that you understand this too.
We are actively working with them and the Bohemians to try and reschedule later this year or into the next and we will put the tickets back on sale when we have agreed a date.
For those that have already booked tickets, thank you, can you please bear with us so that we can reschedule, then all tickets will be valid for the new date?
This event is a fundraiser for our international Mayflower Bonfire event in August 2020 so we do not want to cancel but postpone.
We thank you for your support of the Great Torrington Cavaliers, and your patience on this matter and will be in touch soon.
